NASA’s 2013 Revolutionary Aerospace Systems Concepts-Academic Linkage (RASC-AL) competition

The 2013 design competition is looking for innovative and creative ideas from undergraduate and graduate level engineering students related to NASA’s Human Space Exploration program. We encourage you to involve your students in this competition which gives them the opportunity to: interact with NASA and industry experts; infuse concepts and data from RASC-AL into NASA program planning; develop relationships that could lead to participation in other NASA programs; and demonstrate and leverage potential university-NASA-industry cooperation.

Student teams and their faculty advisors are invited to submit abstracts by January 19, 2013, responding to the one of the following themes:

• Near Earth Asteroid (NEA) Flexible Mission Architecture Designs

• Human-Focused Mars Mission Systems and Technologies

• Human Lunar Access and Initial Exploration
