Dr. Jaydeep Mukherjee

Dr. Jaydeep Mukherjee leads the NASA Florida Space Grant Consortium (FSGC), a statewide partnership of Florida colleges, universities, and space-related organizations led by the University of Central Florida. In this role, he oversees programs that provide grants, scholarships, and fellowships while supporting student-led research, hands-on aerospace projects, and educational opportunities that strengthen Florida’s space industry and workforce.

Dr. Mukherjee holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, a master’s degree in physics from the University of Mumbai, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in astronomy from the University of Florida. He previously served as Director of the Florida Space Institute (2006–2011) and serves on the boards of the National Space Grant Alliance and National Space Grant Foundation.

His contributions to science education and outreach have earned several honors, including the 2011 National Eminence Award, NASA Group Achievement Awards, and the University of Florida’s 1993 Kerrick Prize.

Ms. Maria (Gabriella) Gentry

Mrs. Gentry is the Program Manager for the NASA Florida Space Grant Consortium (FSGC) at the Florida Space Institute. Her duties include recruiting students who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in science, mathematics, engineering, and technology via e-mails and other marketing collateral pieces, creating and coordinating agendas and spreadsheets, and organizing travel arrangements for FSGC-sponsored events, in addition to providing administrative support.

Ms. Lina Dupuy

Ms. Dupuy is the Student Programs Coordinator for FSGC-sponsored programs and State Coordinator overseeing the Florida ICS ‘Plant the Moon’ and ‘Build The Moon’ Challenges. She is also the FSGC student teams liason for the Florida-division of the Nationwide Eclipse Ballooning Project (NEBP.) Ms. Dupuy equally provides administrative support as needed.

Mr. Harold Donald

Mr. Donald is a former FSGC employee and now provides the benefit of his extensive technical experience to FSGC administrative activities. He has been a technical advisor for more than 12 years.

Dr. Leonard ter Haar

Dr. Ter Haar is Professor Emeritus at the University of West Florida, and was advisory board member to the FSGC for more than 10 years. Dr. Ter Haar has been an invaluable technical advisor to the FSGC for more than 15 years.
